Life doesn't always go according to plan. A few years ago, I lost everything.

A painful separation cost me my business a gym I'd poured my heart and sole into. I found myself sleeping on the gym floor with nowhere else to go, and eventually lost that too. Suddenly, I was homeless with three kids and my dog, facing a future that felt impossible.

But here's what I learned in those dark days: your lowest point can become your launchpad.

My dog got me through it. My kids got me through it. They gave me a reason to keep going when everything else had fallen apart. We rebuilt, step by step, and eventually I met Jade who helped me back up, then we welcomed two cockapoos into our life's  Honey and Biscuit  who brought joy, energy, and a whole lot of personality back into our home.

Jade adored them and was constantly buying accessories that matched their fun, playful spirits. One day, half joking, I said: "I should start a business selling dog accessories."

She looked at me and said, "That would be great."

And just like that, something clicked.

But starting over wasn't easy. Losing my gym had left me bankrupt no savings, no start-up capital, just a burning desire to build something again. To prove to myself and my kids that you can fall hard and still get back up. To create financial stability and, honestly, to enjoy life again.

I wanted our products to reflect Honey and Biscuit's personalities bold, bright, playful, and unapologetically fun. No boring beige. No blending in. Just premium quality accessories that celebrate every dog's unique character, designed by someone who understands what it means to fight for what matters.

Since launching, we've been blessed with incredible milestones: winning a design competition that earned us a pop-up stall in John Lewis Nottingham for 7 days, and receiving Theo Paphitis' Small Business Sunday (#SBS) award  an honor that validated everything we'd worked for.

But this is just the beginning.
